What is gender-based violence?

0
By MobieG on February 1, 2022 Gender-based violence

Gender-based violence is a systemic pattern of controlling, coercing, and violent behaviour intended to punish, abuse, and ultimately control thoughts, beliefs, and actions.

It is about power and control.

It includes emotional, physical, verbal, sexual, and financial abuse.

It encompasses intimate partner violence, child abuse, elder abuse, and violence between siblings.

If you’re afraid of your partner, that’s a big red flag.
